Get the China Chemical Market Note in Your Inbox

Daily, from published public price data, with what it means for your next order

Every weekday I publish a note on what Chinese chemical prices actually did — the movement, the source, and the reading behind it. This is the same note that goes on the site, delivered to your inbox instead of a page you have to remember to check.

What is in each note?

The actual price movements for the products I supply, taken from published public data, with the date each reading is from, and what I read into it for your next order. Where I add my own view rather than the data, it is marked as mine.

  • The real movements — index readings and basis prices, with the date of each reading, not commentary on a chart I drew myself.
  • What it means for ordering — whether a window is opening or closing, and how long a lead time is actually running.
  • The gaps, stated — when a source has not updated recently that product is left out, and the reason is written down. A note that quietly omits stale data is worse than no note.

What is not in it?

It is not a price list. I do not publish my own pricing, and I do not quote a product I have not confirmed. If you need a number for a specific product, quantity and destination, ask me directly and I will give you factory pricing within two business days.

How often does it arrive, and what does it cost?

Weekdays, one note. It is free, and it will stay free — the value of sending it is that you talk to me when you have a requirement, and that conversation is worth more than the note.

Who is it for?

Buyers who source veterinary APIs, surfactants, food additives or fertilizer inputs from China and need to know what the market is doing before they commit a container.

How do I subscribe?

Fill in the form below and your email client opens with the request ready to send. It comes to Peter Yang and nobody else — there is no list and no third party in between. If you would rather write directly, the four product-line addresses are at the bottom of this page.

What if I would rather not get email?

The daily notes are on the site and the FAQ covers how sourcing, documentation, shipping and quotes actually work. Nothing is lost by reading them there, and no address is collected.

Where do I send a requirement now?

If you would rather not wait for a subscription reply, and you want to send a requirement now rather than read first:
